Katara Washington Patton

KATARA WASHINGTON PATTON has written and edited Christian books for children, teens, and adults and created supplemental materials for books by T.D. Jakes, Beth Moore and Joyce Meyer. She served as general editor and writer of Aspire: The New Women of Color Study Bible. She holds a M.Div. from Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary, a masters of journalism from the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University, and a bachelor of arts from Dillard University. She enjoys spending time with her husband, Derrick, and her daughter, Kayla. When she has the opportunity, she also loves a good zumba class and a challenging game of Scrabble.
